Learn How to Make a Candle With a Lighthouse Candle Factory Instructor
Our Class Philosophy
At The Lighthouse Candle Factory, we take great pride in the uniqueness of our candles and our way of doing things. Our Candle Making Classes are also unique. Unlike most "Candle Bars" that hold classes, and let you pour some oil into wax they have already prepared, we will teach you how to make a candle from start to finish, including measuring your own wax, measuring your own oil, mixing/melting your wax, placing your own wick and more. Each student will have their own individual equipment to work with to make their own 7oz 100% Soy candle.
We also take the time to discuss the pros and cons of various types of waxes, oils, and coloring options.
Our Scents
Each student will get to choose their own scent for their candle from our more than 100 unique fragrance oils, many of which are made exclusively for The Lighthouse Candle Factory.

Many of our students have given us the inspiration to create new fragrances based on the questions they have during class. We LOVE a good "Chemistry Experiment!"
Our Instructors
All LHCF Instructors have extensive experience making candles of all types and sizes. More importantly, they are all extremely passionate about teaching others the art of producing the perfect candle. By limiting our class size to 12, our instructors will be able to spend time with each student to guide them through the process.

Rebecca has made 1000's of handmade candles during her time at The Lighthouse Candle Factory, including her signature Dessert Candle!
Our Assistant Instructors also have extensive experience in making candles to ensure that you can get all of your questions answered.
Our Manufacturing Studio
When you attend our class, you will get to step inside The Lighthouse Candle Factory's manufacturing studio, where quality and precision are at the heart of every candle. Our workspace is equipped with eight heavy-duty industrial wax melters and individual stations featuring digital scales, temperature probes, and premium fragrance oils. We proudly use high-quality Golden Wax 464 soy wax to ensure a clean, long-lasting burn for every product we create. Whether we're fulfilling bulk orders or hosting our signature classes, this professional environment ensures excellence in every pour.
Our Convenient Location
The Lighthouse Candle Factory is located in the Heart of the Piedmont Triad in Kernersville, North Carolina. Our facility is an easy drive from anywhere in NC, Southern Virginia and most of South Carolina. If you live anywhere near Winston-Salem, Greensboro, or High Point, we bring true meaning to "Near me!"
For our nightime classes, come early and spend the day touring Old Salem Museums & Gardens, Kernersville's own Korners Folly, a great tribute to those who have served Our Nation at The Carolina Field of Honor or many other local attractions. Enjoy a dinner at our many fine dining locations like Outwest Steakhouse, or our personal favorite Smitty's Grille. Afterwards, attend our class to top off your day.

The Lighthouse Candle Factory showroom offers a cozy, boutique shopping experience within our professional facility. The space features rustic wooden shelving organized with a wide variety of products, including signature jar candles, wax melts, and room sprays. With warm lamp lighting, decorative floral rugs, and coastal-themed art, the showroom provides the perfect atmosphere to discover your next favorite fragrance.
